An end to the question of
whether I'm doing enough.
Engaging company, tastes, sounds.
Laughter, recognition, a place for
everyone if they want it.
I can't be happy without my body
involved. Hard work, the smell of fresh
herbs in waxed cardboard boxes,
knowing the name of every plant
around you. Clear expectations, mutual
respect, space for solitude.
To abide in the slow time of mastery,
watching and experiencing the steady
accumulations wrought by sustained
attention.
Wonderful.
